The last time I ventured into the Dublin Castle pub was a rainy wednesday afternoon back in 1995 with lead singer and guitarist ''Gaz'' Coombes from the band Supergrass. The walls splatterd with posters from some famous bands that have played their throughout the time including a massive signed poster by ''Suggs'' by Madness.....I remember seeing them play there in 1989 under their mock name of Palmas 7 and it was heaving with skinheads..lol..didnt stay long..lol..So it was a nice nostalgic trip last night to go back in and even better to go and see Jacksons Warehouse play....

Now I must be honest, I have seen a few sound checks done in my time, even done a few myself and at the best of times sound checks before the gig can be the biggest pain in the arse for any musician..There is always something missing you need or the sound engineer wants to do what he/she wants to do and bugger you the musician..lol....Yes sound checks are a pain..but you would not have thought so for the Jacksons Warehouse boys..I don't think I have ever seen such a more straight forward sound check done !!! Boom Boom Boom goes the drums..Bass player rifts a few notes nods to the others as to say ''good enough?'' a nod or two comes back..with ''Job Done'' mutterd..Guitars rifted and synth sound checked in no time at all then the vocals start..Now to be really honest vocalists do like to..shall we say ''play the soundcheck a bit..lol..Not Stuart..!! he just opened his mouth the words came out in tune first hit and that was that another nod to the band and nods back..yeah that's sound check done...Beer anyone ??

I am now amazed,,sat there thinking ''is that it ?'' what no ''can I have a bit of bass in this monitor?'' or ''i cant hear myself in that monitor''...wow I thought and so did the band watching them as their faces told the story..lol..The drummer of the other band asked Jascksons Warehouse drummer for the use of the drums etc and got a very cool ''yeah ok '' reply ..that was that effortless no ego's no fuss..

So it's to the bar we go..The boys are on stage for 10:15 pm ,so its time to relax and get the play list sorted etc over a few drinkies..as you do !!...I asked Stuart Brown Singer and song writer of the band.how many people he was expecting to turn up...''Ahh a few'' he said with a smile .. ''we have a bus laid on for our fans and friends''...Now when I hear this I tend to think of a small mini bus or coach with a few people in..That's the normal thing right ??...Erm well not when it comes to a Jacksons Warehouse Gig it isnt...The band call it the ''Vomit Comet''..lol and when it turned up..lol..it was easy to see why..

So let me pain this image for you...We are standing outside the venue enjoying the mild evening and having more drinkies when all of a sudden from the corner of my vision I notice a Blue double decker bus pull up into the Transport for Londons request stop for the Buses on route..''oh the buses must have changed colour scheme here'' I thought as a ''bus load'' of people started to get off....A few stepped off and a couple even walked off  in style most just fell off..lol..Yes the ''Vomit Comet'' had arrived !!....How many bands do you know manage to bring a double decker full of fans to a gig ??...Jacksons Warehouse do it everytime !!.....''Hello'' Hello'' goes the tone with hugs kisses and handshakes from the band to every single person that got off that bus..now that's a fan base and that Ladies and Gellybubbles is how you treat your fanbase , a genuine heart felt appreciation for every single person who made it..Plus also for the people who came by car or who lived near by and walked in..That's a fantastic way to make sure your followers and lovers of your music stay with you, that's all bands have to do is to make the fans feel appreciated..

3 bands have played their sets to a fair and moderate crowd in the venue..People are now all sweaty and pumped ..and as it normally goes a lot of people disapear when the band that have just finished leave the stage, Some go for drinks some just come in for the one band..it's how things are, so it was no big supprise to see a few wander off...The Jacksons Warehouse fans now take the floor .. Primed and ready to take the venue over..I am now standing to the right of the stage and watching as the band casualy plug their instruments in and start twanging notes and adjusting drums etc, but very quickly done too I may add....A nod from Stuart to Barnyon Guitars and to cousin Simon on synths and then a glance to the drummer and to Simon on Bass..it's time to Rock !!!

1..2..3..4...and they are off straight into ''Gather Dust'' The crown scream !!..Fuck me I thought hold on !! I cant hear the band...2k watt of power blasting the sound system and the crowd drown it..This is electic!!!...I have seen many a band live on stage but never have I seen such a reaction from a crown so fast as I look around I see the people who where leaving  after the other bands had stopped now stopping still and just watching this fantastic band belt out their opening number.. Bodies bouncing and a very quick flood of bodies start bouncing as the infecious beats and sounds hit them...We are 3 quarters into the first song and the whole venue is now caught up in the Jacksons Warehouse net and just like a school of fish are now moving as One to the feel and sounds from the stage....This is Genius !!

Half way through the set..I notice the doormen now stopping more people from coming into the music area of the venue later i'm told it was due to over full capacity..lol..The crowd that came in for the other bands are now back in and bouncing away and so are a lot of the band members from other bands..this was pure utopia for the music lover as everyone was smiling rocking out and feeling the vibe this fantastic band was giving..

We are towards the end of the night now and an encore is being screamed by many sweaty smiling faces to the Jackson Warehouse crew..Stuart looks back over to the band a nod a smile then 1..2..3..4 they are off again,,,No time wasting with crowd cheesy chat up lines..no time to whip up any enthusiasm..it's all there in a bus load anyway and then some...It comes to the end..People are still hanging around not moving..maybe there's more I hear from the left of me...''Who the fuck are these guys again ?'' I hear behind me..lol.. Paul the manager now gets to work off he goes to the many smiley faces asking for email addresses in exchange for a free CD..Needless to say he is swamped in seconds..

All in all Ladies and Gelly's I had a great night many thank's to the band and to the Vomit Comet's passengers who made me feel very welcome..and also a nod to Shelly Stigg..more from this lady to come watch out..

I thougrally recommend seeing this band Live as the music we play of them on the Radio shows just does not do them enough Justice ..... They are a band to be seen..Do it soon..xx

Always great to see fresh faces and happy chatters in our ChatBox Live during SHOW TIMES...Was not disapointed on Friday's show at all..What a banter-full bunch of Rep Heads we had too...I love reading the comments in the Chat Box when presenting the Live Shows it gives me so much to laugh at....If you have not yet experienced our Chat Box then shame on you !!!!!

Mizzy & Carry on Karen Host and monitor the ChatBox with your best internet interests at heart looking after the newbies and Kicking out the twats who sometimes do pop in..lol..a massive Rooo Haaa to the both of them for such great work

Well on Friday's show we played 2 new bands never played on our shows befor...The Band DEAR STARS  & SO LONG DAVEY...both bands went down very well by many in the site including some fantastic responses via email and through Facebook where our Live Shows are streamed via our Application on the page..We also played a brilliant track from our old friends HOUDINI...All great stuff that was again received with much appreciation from all around..

Many sounds played and some excellent sounds from the Likes of JACKSONS WAREHOUSE...STARVING FOR GRAVITY .. NEVER THE LAST BREATH..VARNISH & POST ADOLESENCE..to mention just a tiny few of brilliant music played..

What's that expression ''Having it large'' ?..that's it..Well we have been Having it Large with Fat Boy portions this week as Plenty has been going on in and around Reputation Media..

NEW NAMES... Well at long last The band that is JACKSONS WAREHOUSE finally came up with the name to their eagerly awaited Download Album and was announced on the NerveCast Session This Wednesday..Took us a while to coax the name out of Stu Brown the front man for the band and to be honest it was a bit touch and go if we were going to get the name from him this week lol.!!...Well at last in case you missed the show you will now know the name of the Download Album will be called...''HOMES NEXT TO HOUSES''...Grab a hold of Stuart next time he is in the chat box and ask him for a break down for the name and I'm sure he will be happy to explain..lol....Already the exclusive track that has been aired called ''In The Sky Tonight'' has received tremendous acclaim for its driving beat and sheer brilliance of music wetting the appitite of many Jackson Warehouse Fans out there, we played another track from the forth coming New Album last Wednesday called ''Running As Fast As You Can'' and again it brought the ChatBox to a stand still as well as thousands on Facebook to write in to say how much they enjoyed the Track...There are plenty of tracks on this Album to keep you happy all of them as good as the last if not better..So watch out for exclusive news as to the launch of this Download Album..We will be keeping you posted..
